BMW has unveiled the all-new fourth-generation X3 SUV, which sits on a new platform, boasts new designs inside and out, and includes a long list of features and advanced technology. An all-electric version, the iX3, is set to make its global debut next year.
Design and Features
Exterior Design
- Platform: The fourth-gen BMW X3 (codename: G45) adopts BMW’s new naming pattern, dropping the ‘i’ suffix from xDrive30i and switching the number’s position, now becoming 30 xDrive.
- Dimensions: The new X3 is slightly longer and wider than its predecessor.
- Grille: Features a large-format kidney grille, illuminated on the flagship M50 xDrive, optional on the base 30 xDrive, with slats positioned horizontally on the M50 and tilted on other variants.
- Headlamps and Wheels: New-look headlamps with L-shaped indicators, 19-inch alloy wheels standard, with optional 20- and 21-inch versions.
Interior Design
- Display: Features BMW’s curved display with the iDrive 9 infotainment system, first seen on the current X1.
