The M HYBRID system's instant power delivery ensures a seamless response to accelerator inputs, providing relentless power up to 7,200 rpm.
The BMW M5 can reach a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), extendable to 305 km/h (189 mph) with the optional M Driver’s Package. In all-electric mode, it can hit speeds of up to 140 km/h (87 mph), with an electric range of 67 – 69 kilometers (42 – 43 miles) in the WLTP cycle.
The new BMW M5 features a double-wishbone front axle and a five-link rear axle with bespoke tuning. The electrically assisted steering with M Servotronic and variable steering ratio ensures optimal feedback and directional accuracy. Standard adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers, Integral Active Steering, and M Compound brakes enhance handling, agility, and comfort.
The BMW M5 offers a comprehensive selection of standard and optional driving and parking assistance systems. Standard features include front collision warning, Lane Departure Warning, Evasion Assistant, and Speed Limit Info system. Optional Driving Assistant Professional adds Active Cruise Control, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, traffic light detection, and more.
The control panel on the center console allows drivers to tailor the driving experience, adjusting the drive system, chassis, steering, braking system, and M xDrive. M buttons on the steering wheel enable quick access to stored vehicle setups, while the M HYBRID button offers different operating modes, including HYBRID, ELECTRIC, and eCONTROL.
The interior features a progressive sports car cockpit with a flat-bottomed M leather steering wheel, M multifunction seats, and the BMW Curved Display with M-specific content. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional includes the BMW Maps navigation system and Augmented View function. Standard features also include Merino leather trim, BMW Interaction Bar, four-zone air conditioning, heated front seats, ambient lighting, panoramic glass sunroof, and Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System.
