Among the popular sports bike brands, Kawasaki has updated most of its Ninja series motorcycles for international markets, including Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and 1000SX. According to industry reports, the updated models will also be offered in the Indian market by mid-2024. The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX will retain the same engine, hardware, and features.

The bike may continue offering full fairing with sharp lines, creases, and a sharp tail section. However, to give a fresh look and feel, the motorcycle brand may offer its 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX in a Metallic Matte Graphite Gray Color with some elements of Metallic Diablo Black. The fairing could also have red accents for a more sophisticated look.
Despite a sleek bodywork, the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 has a 1043cc, in-line four-cylinder engine rated to produce 140 bhp and 111 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain packs a water-cooled unit that dampens the mechanical sound and makes the engine capable of performing efficiently under harsh conditions without any wear or tear. The engine comes mated with a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The bore and stroke measures 77 mm and 56 mm, respectively, to produce 1043cc of displacement with an 11.8-to-1 compression ratio. The engine is very powerful but also consumes significant fuel on city rides.
A slipper-style clutch mitigates the back torque before it touches excessive power levels at drivetrains. The Ninja 1000SX has a Kawasaki Intelligence Anti-Lock Brake System, Corner Management Function, and Traction Control. With such heavy-duty components and engine configuration, the motorcycle attaches a top speed of 250 kmph. According to rumors, the 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 may sport an 1100cc engine for more power pack performance.
The front-facing design of Ninja 1000 and 1000SX increases rider protection and enhances the motorcycle's overall look. It helps bikers easily turn out the bike and get a comfortable ride on long distances, even with high speeds. Another key advantage of Ninja 1000 bikes is that the bodywork dissipates heat away from the rider's legs, even on hot days.
The motorcycle comes with dual LED headlights that provide excellent two-way visibility. An adjustable windshield height allows bikers to get maximum sportiness and comfort when riding their favorite Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX. The bike maker has maintained a 32.3-inch seat height, making it accessible to most riders. Moreover, the Ninja 1000 has a 19-liter fuel tank, enough to deliver around 200 miles of range on a single fill. The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is expected to be launched in India with more features like a TFT display, three-level traction control, ABS, and cruise control.
Kawasaki Ninja 1000 has several competitors in the market, including the BMW R 1250 RS, Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, and Ducati Multistrada V4. Here are quick details about these top rivals of the 2024 Ninja 1000 and 1000SX:
BMW R 1250 RS is one of the top-selling sports tourer bikes known for providing comfortable long-distance rides. The motorcycle is powered by a 1254cc boxer twin-cylinder engine that produces 135 HP of power output. This BMW sports bike has several features, such as traction control, ABS, and cruise control.
Compared to the Kawasaki Ninja series, one of the newly launched motorcycles, the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT, is gaining industry recognition and popularity among bikers. The motorcycle draws power from a 1000cc in-line four-cylinder engine that churns out 150 horsepower. The Suzuki GT also comes with similar electronic features, such as ABS, cruise control, and traction control.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 is a popular sport tourer known for its aggressive styling and powerful engine. The motorcycle gets an 1158cc V4 engine that produces 170 HP power output. With this sports bike, you can expect several electronic features like ABS and traction control.
Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and 1000SX are essentially the same sports bikes. The only difference between these popular superbikes in India is that the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX has a few more touring features, including a larger windscreen, cruise control, and adjustable handlebars.
The updated version of Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is anticipated to be launched in India in early 2024. However, the ex-showroom price for this new Kawasaki Ninja bike is yet to be announced.
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 motorcycle will likely retain engine, hardware, and features from the current model available, except for minor changes in style and specifications. The motorcycle will be more efficient, comfortable, and better to ride. If you are looking for a powerful motorcycle to start your touring journey, buying this upcoming Kawasaki Ninja 1000 can be a great deal.
