Maruti Suzuki Eeco is an ideal car for the entire family to go on long road trips throughout India. Besides being a family car, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco qualifies for commercial uses like a cargo vehicle or even an ambulance. This multipurpose car is available in eight variants, with the Eeco 5 STR STD variant priced at Rs 408,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Maruti Suzuki Eeco priced at Rs 616,875.

On the mileage front, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco petrol variant delivers 16.11 km/l, whereas the CNG model gives a mileage of 20.88 km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco Exterior

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco follows the Maruti Omni van and Versa as a multipurpose family vehicle. Maruti Suzuki has revamped the design and launched the Eeco with attractive side body graphics and a refreshed look. In addition, this vehicle features sliding doors, similar to the erstwhile Maruti Omni van, to allow easy entry and exit for middle-row passengers. This arrangement proves handy when opening the door in congested areas.

The Eeco headlights look subtle and decent, much better than what the Maruti Omni offered. The high-quality bumpers and tiny tail lamps add to its overall aesthetics. However, the 155-section tyres on the 13-inches rims look small, especially on the cargo and ambulance variants.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco comes in six colors, Solid White, Cerulean Blue, Pearl Midnight Black, Metallic Glistening Grey, Uptown Red, Metallic Silky Silver.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco Interior

Maruti Suzuki Eeco's highlights include high seats with a large front glass pane to offer an excellent front view in heavy traffic. It contrasts with other Maruti Suzuki brands like the Maruti Alto, which come with low seats. In addition, the artificial leather upholstery on the seats adds to the comfort and convenience.

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco's design allows it to have a spacious cabin. Tall drivers admire the ample leg space offered by the Maruti Suzuki Eeco. However, this vehicle does not offer much boot space behind the rear seats.

The dashboard design is refreshingly new, with a new digital instrument panel that allows convenient readability. The indicators, including the fuel level, trip meter, and odometer, allow the driver to gain complete control over the vehicle. There is no designated space for keeping your luggage. Besides, this vehicle does not come with power steering and music systems. The lack of headrests for the middle and rear seats makes it a tad uncomfortable.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco Engine and Performance

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco runs on a 1.2L BSVI compliant engine compatible with petrol and CNG. The CNG variant delivers 61 bhp power at 6000 rpm and 85Nm torque at 3000 rpm.

The petrol engine produces 72 bhp power at 6000 tom and 101Nm torque at 3000 rpm. Both the 5-seater and 7-seater versions of the Maruti Suzuki come with manual transmission systems with a 5-speed gearbox. The vehicle comes equipped with a large 40L fuel tank to enable your family to have a delightful experience. The high-quality Engine Management System ensures a decent mileage of 16.11 km/l for the petrol and 20.88 km/kg for the CNG version.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco Ride, Handling, and Safety

Maruti Suzuki Eeco features disc brakes on the front wheel and drum brakes for the rear for enhanced safety. Features like ABS with EBD ensure that the vehicle maintains its balance on slippery roads, even at high speeds. The Eeco offers airbags only for the driver. However, all passengers get seat belts. The seat belt reminder is a helpful feature.Rear parking sensors enable you to park the vehicle easily. The speed alert system can help prevent accidents, while the side-impact beams provide the ideal cushioning in the event of an accident. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco features small wheels, but the tubeless types provide peace of mind to the driver as it requires less maintenance.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco Competition Check

Compared to other Maruti Suzuki cars, the Eeco is a tall vehicle. Though there are not many models available to match the Maruti Suzuki Eeco in all respects, it faces stiff competition from Tata Motor's Venture and Mahindra and Mahindra's Maxximo Van. However, these vehicles cost more than the Maruti Suzuki Eeco.
