Variant and Colour
The Jeep Compass is available in four variants: Sport, Longitude, Limited, Black Shark and Model S. It also comes in seven colours: Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, Bright White, Magnesio Grey, Brilliant Black, Galaxy Blue and Techno Green.
Seating Capacity and Boot Space
This car can seat up to five passengers and has a boot space of 438 litres. The rear seats can be folded down to increase the cargo capacity to 770 litres.
Fuel Type and Mileage
It offers both petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit that produces 170 HP of power at 3750 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1750-2500 rpm. The mileage of the petrol engine is 14.1 kmpl, while the diesel engine is 17.1 kmpl.
Transmission
It has both manual and automatic transmission options. The petrol engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The Trailhawk variant also has a low-range mode for off-road driving.
Safety Features
It is equipped with various safety features such as six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist (HSA), hill descent control (HDC), traction control system (TCS), electronic roll mitigation (ERM) and rear parking sensors with camera.
Dashboard and Entertainment Features
It has a stylish and functional dashboard that houses a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Uconnect 5 technology. The system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, voice command and navigation.
The vehicle also has a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, keyless entry and cruise control.
Ground Clearance and Dimension
This SUV has a ground clearance of 178 mm and a dimension of 4398 mm (length) x 1818 mm (width) x 1640 mm (height). It has a wheelbase of 2636 mm and a turning radius of 5.7 metres.
