Latest Update: Nissan X-Trail was recently spotted testing on Indian roads. It is expected to launch in the first half of 2024, probably in Feb 2024. It would be the most costly Nissan to ever launch in India. Its expected price is between Rs 25 Lakh to Rs 35 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Introduction
Nissan X-Trail is one of the largest SUVs in Nissan’s global lineup. In many international markets, it comes in 5 and 7 seater configurations. Moreover, apart from the all wheel drive version, Nissan also sells X-Trail in front wheel drive versions.
Exterior and Design
On the exterior design, the latest 4th gen Nissan X-Trail facelift comes with split front lamps with LED DRLs placed on top of the headlamp unit. Also, the front grill now looks bolder and aggressive. The front bumper also gets side air curtains for better aerodynamics.
Interior and Features
Upon launch, we expect Nissan to offer the X-Trail with radar + camera based level 2 ADAS features, large infotainment touch screen, fully digital large drivers display, etc. Also, Nissan might offer several comfort features like ventilated seats, powered seats, window curtains etc.
Engine & Transmission
The powertrain options of India specific X-Trail is not yet confirmed. However, Nissan is likely to offer a diesel as well as a petrol engine option in the X-Trail.
Drive Train
Nissan X-Trail will likely come in front wheel drive as well as all wheel drive option.
Segment and Rivals
When launched, it will compete with the likes of Skoda Kodiaq, VW Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson etc.
